At Aqua-Tots Woodhaven, our team is our family, and we're excited to introduce them to you. Our amazing managers and friendly front desk staff are here to assist your family and show you what the Aqua-Tots experience is all about. Whether you have questions about our program, need help scheduling lessons and make-up lessons or just want to say hi, our team is ready to serve you. At Aqua-Tots Woodhaven, our certified instructors are excited to welcome your child into the pool. With 40+ hours of in-classroom and in-water training, they are well-equipped to teach your child everything they need to know to become a safe and confident swimmer for life. The proven Aqua-Tots curriculum is used all over the world to teach more than five million swim lessons every year.

Ashae

General Manager
Ashae started with Aqua-Tots Woodhaven in 2022 as our guest service manager. She is a mom of four kids, two girls and two boys. With kids of her own, she understands the life-saving importance of learning how to swim and enjoys helping children learn this vital skill. This also gives her the passion to show up every day, ready to save lives with a smile on her face.

Allison

Aquatics Manager
Allison joined us in 2019 as a water safety instructor. She has been aquatics manager for 5 years. She's passionate about helping kids learn life-saving skills in the pool and coaching her staff to do the same. Allison grew up in Taylor, Michigan. She earned her bachelor's degree in environmental science-biology from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. She’s married and has two kids, Maverick and Nova.

Bailee

Guest Service Manager
Bailee (or Bails) has been a valued member of our team since 2021. She started as a guest service associate and has been in her current role for three years now. After work, you can find her baking something sweet or volunteering as a summer camp counselor for children on the spectrum, a role she’s proudly held for over a decade. She loves theatre, cats and sharks.

Ian

Assistant Aquatics Manager
Ian joined us in 2020. His past roles include water safety instructor and master instructor. He is passionate about teaching water safety and educating children. Ian grew up in Lincoln Park, Michigan. He’s pursuing a bachelors degree in secondary education, with a focus in social studies. He enjoys history, Star Wars, and spending time with his fiancé and their many nieces and nephews.

S.N.A.P. Program: Adaptive Swim Lessons in Woodhaven

Aqua-Tots Woodhaven offers S.N.A.P. (Students Needing Adaptive Programming) for children with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, deafness, or blindness. One-on-one instruction with tailored goals in a safe environment helps every child build confidence and water safety skills.

We are honored to partner with Every Child A Swimmer to provide swim scholarships for families who may not otherwise have access to lessons. In addition, through partnerships with Friendship Circle, Alcott Elementary, Inkster Inspire and the Metro Parks of Detroit, we are able to offer swim instruction to underserved families and children with special needs.

Community Partnerships

We attend as many local events as possible, including those hosted by the Woodhaven school districts. We regularly donate swim lessons for local school auctions and events. Partnering with our local schools is something we feel very passionate about and honored to do.
