Aqua-Tots Swim Schools Now Open in The Shops at Dove Creek

The World’s Largest Swim School Franchise Opens Newest Year-Round, Indoor Swim Facility in San Antonio

Aqua-Tots Swim Schools Dove Creek is ready for children of all abilities to learn how to swim safely in their state-of-the-art facility and 90° pool.

San Antonio, TX—February 26, 2020—Aqua-Tots Swim Schools has announced its newest franchise location now open at The Shops at Dove Creek at the intersection of Loop 1604 and Potranco Road in San Antonio, Texas. Aqua-Tots Swim Schools Dove Creek opened as the 107th worldwide Aqua-Tots Swim Schools franchise location on Monday, February 17, 2020.

Aqua-Tots Swim Schools has been the leader in the swim instruction industry since 1991, offering comprehensive swim curriculum for children from four months to 12 years old. With over 100 locations in 14 countries, families all over the world can experience the dedicated, year-round, indoor swim facility where their children can become safe and confident swimmers.

The new 5,000 sq. foot swim school is the third Aqua-Tots location for Franchise Owner Arlette Belver, who owns two other locations in the San Antonio area, one at The Rim Shopping Center and the other in Helotes. Arlette was inspired to pursue a business endeavor with Aqua-Tots after a near-drowning experience involving her daughter.

“My daughter, Vanessa, was involved in a canoe accident and nearly drowned when she was four years old,” said Arlette. As a result, she was very fearful of the water. To help her overcome this, I took Vanessa to Aqua-Tots Swim Schools near our home. When I walked through the doors, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life and my future. I wanted to help the children in our community by equipping them with water safety skills to prevent drownings and help them overcome any fears they might have in the water. My daughter became an amazing swimmer, and her experience and transformation are things I continue to share with as many children and families as possible.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that drowning is the leading cause of unintentional, injury-related death among children ages one to four years old. This reality is met with encouraging research by Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, who found thatconsistency in formal swim lessons reduces the risk of drowning by 88% among children ages one to four.

Aqua-Tots Swim Schools Dove Creek wants children to enjoy their small group lessons with friends and is offering a $25 referral credit when families refer a friend who enrolls in swim lessons. Beyond group lessons, Aqua-Tots Dove Creek offers semi-private, private and Fast Track lessons as well as the Special Needs Aquatic Program (S.N.A.P.) and birthday parties.
