Aqua-Tots Dives Deeper into Mexico with New Tijuana Location

World’s largest swim school franchise opens second Mexican locale, latest site near California border  

TIJUANA, Mexico (July 25, 2022) – Aqua-Tots Swim Schools has been renowned for its work teaching children across the United States how to swim for more than 30 years. Now, that same opportunity is available to more families south of the U.S. border in Baja California!

Aqua-Tots opened its second location in Mexico – and 22^nd international site – on July 18, just miles from the California border in Tijuana. Located at Libramiento Sur, Parque 7501, Industrial Pacifico, 22643 inside the Centro Comercial Pacifico, the brand’s newest swim school will provide locals a great place for their children to learn to swim as well as enjoy the pool themselves.

“We’re beyond excited to be opening our Aqua-Tots in the heart of Tijuana and equip the families of this great city with life-saving skills for their children,” said Franchisee Arath Herrera. “This is a beach town and being so close to water, we know that we’ll be providing a service that benefits everyone in the area. Plus, this is a state-of-the-art facility that we want people to enjoy and treat as their home away from home, too!”

Aqua-Tots’ newest site measures 623 meters squared or 6,700 square feet and provides features rarely found in Mexico – a climate-controlled interior space, temperature-adjustable water and ample parking. And with few indoor swimming pools in the city, the swim school will offer a unique program open to teens and adults.

Nado Libre, which translates to “Free Swim” in English, will turn the facility into a private indoor swimming pool for anyone ages 15 and up every day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., except during Semana Santa (Holy Week) and summer hours. The cost is $1,049 pesos or approximately $50 per month. 

Aqua-Tots offers swim lessons for children as young as four months all the way through 12 years old. Children can participate in private lessons or small group classes to help ensure a safe environment for proper swim instruction.

Anyone who chooses to enroll in swim lessons during the first six months of the Tijuana location’s opening will qualify for the Founder’s Price special. This will lock in your rate at the time of purchase for the duration of the swim program.

Aqua-Tots Tijuana is the brand’s 127^th worldwide location, which teaches five million swim lessons a year. Every swim instructor has completed more than 40 hours of intensive in-water and classroom training and has their CPR certification.
