May is National Drowning Prevention Month

6

Aqua-Tots Swim Schools’ mission is to help ensure the safety of your family and to work towards preventing drownings throughout communities worldwide.  We make it a priority to highlight May as National Drowning Prevention month because, unfortunately, May is the prime time for drownings to occur.

The danger of drowning is real and always present. As the weather starts to warm up and families take part in more water activities, that danger level increases. In fact, did you know 10 people die every day from accidental drowning? Did you know 2 out of 10 are children age 14 or younger?

Join us this month in promoting water safety by educating your family about the dangers of water with this Child and Parent Commitment to Water Safety Pledge. Download it here so you can print it out and sign it along with your child.  (These are great to hang on the fridge!)
