We recommend that children start swim lessons as early as 4 months old, but if your child is older than that, it’s always a good time to start! The proven Aqua-Tots curriculum is designed to teach children of all ages and abilities how to become safe and confident swimmers for life.

Participating in year-round swim lessons is the most effective way for your child to become a safe and confident swimmer and helps them retain more knowledge for longer periods of time. Swimming occasionally throughout the year can create a gap in swimming skills. Children may then have to relearn those skills upon returning to swim lessons instead of immediately jumping into new skills.

Our group swim lessons consist of four students to one instructor. This ensures a safe and social environment for your child to learn to swim.

Swim lessons at Aqua-Tots Swim Schools last 30 minutes. We’ve found this to be the ideal length of time that young children can focus and learn while still having fun.

Aqua-Tots offers year-round swim lessons, and enrollment is always open. So come on in, the water’s warm!

All Aqua-Tots Swim Schools Water Safety Instructors (AT-WSI) have completed 40+ hours of intensive in-classroom and in-water training as well as written and in-water exams. Instructors continue to be evaluated regularly and participate in monthly training sessions to ensure that your child is in the absolute safest environment.

Our goal is to offer consistent instructors for scheduled classes, however, sometimes a change occurs due to instructor availability, sickness, vacation, etc. If this happens, we will communicate with you as far in advance as possible. But rest assured that all instructors are equally equipped to teach your child how to swim safely.

We recommend 30 minute lessons, 2-3 days per week. Regularly scheduled swim lessons held in short increments result in the best retention of skills because our curriculum links one skill to the next and builds upon your child’s success.

Each child’s progress is unique and based upon factors such as comfort in the water, physical strength, coordination, focus and maturity. Like piano lessons or karate, a well-balanced swimmer learns skills in layers, and our instructors are tasked with helping each child progress as quickly as possible while maintaining the standards of our proven curriculum.

Yes. As a pro-submersion school, we know that your child will be the safest and have the most fun if they know how to safely go underwater. When teaching students how to swim, we keep our eyes on the goal of developing safe and confident swimmers, and going underwater is something that most children enjoy after just a few lessons.

To enroll your child in swim lessons, register online through your local Aqua-Tots website, give us a call or stop by. We offer flexible class times and days to fit your busy schedule.

We know life gets busy, and sometimes lessons need to be rescheduled. If your child is going to be absent, please give us a call prior to your scheduled class, and we’ll gladly assign a make-up lesson to your account to be used at a later date.

You are able to schedule make-up lessons up to seven days in advance. Make-up lessons do not expire as long as a student is currently enrolled in our program, however, if a make-up lesson is missed for any reason, it is no longer eligible for rescheduling. Make-up lessons are also not able to be used toward monthly tuition.

To change your child’s lesson(s) day and/or time, call or email your local Aqua-Tots.

Upon completion of each level, your child’s instructor will let you know that they are ready to graduate to the next level. The front desk staff will then work with you to enroll your child in the next class.

Families wishing to take a break from swim lessons are required to fill out a 30-day written notice. Billing and enrollment will cease 30 days from when the written notice is received.

You can submit your 30-day notice at any time during the month. Your classes will end 30 days from when the notice is received.

Pricing varies by location and is billed monthly based on the number of weekly swim lessons your child is enrolled in. Give us a call or visit your local Aqua-Tots website for detailed pricing and scheduling information.

You can pay for lessons by calling or visiting your local Aqua-Tots. Your first month’s payment is due at the time of enrollment in order for your child to be placed on the class roster, and your credit card will remain on file for future payments. By providing your credit card, you have agreed to the terms and conditions of Aqua-Tots Swim Schools’ monthly auto-payment.

Annual registration fees vary by location and can be found on your local Aqua-Tots website.

Tuition and registration fees are non-refundable, and we do not offer refunds for used or unused swim lessons.
